Orbo is a digital-world action game centered around a modular chip system that lets you customize how your character plays — whether you’re darting around as a ranged glass cannon or getting up close in a chaotic, melee-based swirl of energy.
Who (or what) is Orbo?
Orbo is a floating orb of energy — simple in shape, but capable of evolving through the chips you equip. There’s no defined “class” or “build.” Instead, you create your own playstyle through combinations. It's all about synergy and adaptation.
Right now, Orbo is still early in development, but here’s what’s up and running:
Core Systems In Place:
- Follow camera system & viewport
- Simple UI with multiple interactive panels
- Modular chip system that changes gameplay dynamically
- Player movement and abilities with upgrade potential
- Initial combat mechanics including basic enemies and projectile behaviors
- Procedural level groundwork, plus support for loading pre-designed rooms
- Minimalistic level art that is capable of dynamically shifting during play
- Basic 55 level tier system to build upon including an updating, traversable node map for levels
What’s Next?
- Expanding the variety of core chip behaviors
- Developing enemy types with unique AI and interactions
- Continuing level design experiments — corridor-heavy? Open arenas? Something in between?
- And starting to define the visual/audio style of this mysterious digital realm
